Instructions
The surfaces of the substrates to be glued must be dry and free of dust and grease. Remove any release agent that may be present. Depending on the material and information in the optimisation table, pre-treat with Activating Cleaner (art. no. 089010060) or cleaner type 60 (art. no. 0892130031, 0892130031), as well as AdhesionPlus metal (art. no. 089010061), AdhesionPlus plastic/wood/stone (art. no. 089010062), primer (art. no. 089054510) or Varioprimer safe + easy (art. no. 0890024021/0890024101).
PUR Rapid structural adhesive is applied either on one of the assembly components as a bead or over the whole surface using a toothed spatula. The adhesive is moisture-curing, i.e. when gluing non-absorbent materials or very dry materials to each other, the applied adhesive has to be additionally sprinkled with water to achieve complete hardening. The components to be joined are pressed together within the skin formation time (max. 5 minutes after wetting) and held until functional strength is achieved. Depending on the material, the amount applied should be approx. 200 g/m².

Notice
The viscosity of 1-K-PUR adhesives when processed at +15°C is approximately double that when used at +25°C.
Sunlight discolours the adhesive but does not affect the adhesive strength.
Bonding aluminium, copper, brass: Only on chemically pre-treated or coated surfaces: these materials cannot be permanently bonded in an age-resistant manner without appropriate pre-treatment of the bonding surfaces.
Powder-coated workpieces should always be cleaned with cleaner type 60 (art. no. 0892130030, 0892130030), powder coatings with PTFE components do not bond reliably without pre-treatment (e.g. plasma method).
