Window Locks / Gearboxes
Repairing & replacing a upvc window lock mechanism is a straight forward window repair.
Firstly open the window, if it is in the locked position, it can be easier to work on the window de glazed, use specialist glazing tools, to de glaze the window and to move the the locking mechanism cams to open ( remove the handle to make this easier)
With the handle removed the lock can be removed and the gearbox type identified, we stock a large range of espag & shootbolt gearboxes, Identify the type and make pay attention to the back set and cam height measurements.
